Plateau State has emerged as the top-performing state among 19 others in the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project, also known as RAAMP.
The announcement was made by the national coordinator of RAAMP, Aminu Mohammed during the launch of civil contracts for three new Agro-Logistics Centres in the state.
The National Coordinator of RAAMP represented by Salisu Ibrahim commended the state government for its unwavering support, which he says made these projects possible.
During the event, Governor Caleb Mutfwang presented cheques to the contractors overseeing the Agro-Logistics Centres, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to improving agriculture as a means of wealth creation for farmers.
He also used the occasion to urge the youth to embrace agriculture as a viable path to self-reliance and sustainable livelihood.

The Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project RAAMP is implementing transformative initiatives in the state aimed at strengthening the agricultural value chain, particularly in rural communities.
Over 300 kilometres of rural access roads have been constructed, linking farming communities to key markets across the state.
The Agro-Logistics Centres featuring modern storage and produce handling facilities will be established in Bassa, Mangu, and Shendam Local Government Areas.
