Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, has called for improvement in education funding to accelerate human capital development in the country.
The Governor made the call during a visit to the Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND, Sonny Echono, in his office in Abuja on Thursday.
Governor Ododo thanked the Management of TETFUND for the interventions so far in Kogi State, but requested for more assistance to enable the State have access to improved funding for high impact projects in her tertiary educational institutions.
ODODO also noted that the Kogi State government needed more interventions for its tertiary educational institutions, especially under the Special High Impact Intervention Fund by Agency.
The Executive Secretary of TETFUND, Sonny Echono commended Governor Ododo for his servant leadership approach to governance and promised that TETFUND will continue to support Kogi State through its interventions in the tertiary education sector.
