Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has attributed the insecurity and series of banditary rocking various parts of Nigeria as the effect of government’s inability to provide education for its citizens.
Governor Ortom who stated this in Delta State while inaugurating Army Day Secondary School Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area one of the transformation agenda of Governor Okowa in education sector concludes that one’s education level determines ones level of development.
The inaugurated Army Day Secondary School founded in 1986 then known as Command Day Secondary School has undergone serious transformation and joined the league of the 12 unique model schools with 25 classrooms, toilet facilities, 4 fully equipped laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology and agric science, computer room among others.
Governor Okowa said his administration places a high premium on education of its citizens hence his resolve to transform the sector to bring about the best of the children for the betterment of the state and the nation.

Governor Ortom lauded Governor Okowa for his contributions towards the education of Deltans especially his establishment of three new universities which according to him will place Deltans ahead of others academically and economically.
Governor Ortom further inaugurated the 7.9km rehabilitated and overlayed Oha/Orerokpe/Oviero road and the 30 meters Oha Bridge replacing the ancient one built decades ago
