Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu has signed three new laws designed to improve infrastructure, strengthen the state’s economy and enhance support for senior citizens.
The new legislations include the Road Maintenance Agency (Amendment) Law, the Lotteries and Gaming Agency Law, and the Senior Citizens Centre Law.
At the signing ceremony in Calabar, Governor Otu described the new legislations as timely and strategic and he applauded the State House of Assembly for its collaboration in driving key reforms.

Governor Otu reaffirmed his administration’s focus on reforms that deliver real impact, stressing that the newly signed laws are a step forward in infrastructure renewal, economic empowerment, and people-centered development.
With the new laws now in effect, the State Government is reinforcing its pledge to put the people at the heart of its policies while unlocking opportunities for growth and social progress.
