Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, North West of Nigeria has assured the unity of the State’s residents, regardless of their ethnic or religious affiliations, as well as to initiate and execute additional projects in the Southern parts and rural communities across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state.
Uba Sani whose message was conveyed by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Professor Benjamin Gugong, made this commitment at the Afam Annual Festival in Kagoro, Kaduna State.
The festival, suspended for the past four years due to insecurity in the region, served as the backdrop for his promise to provide a lasting solution to the prevailing challenges.
Former Chief of Defence Staff, General Martin Agwai, and Senator Sunday Katung, representing Kaduna South district, outlined a strategic approach to address insecurity not only in Kaduna State but also in Nigeria as a whole.
The Afam Cultural Festival, observed by the Agroek natives of Southern Kaduna for the past 70 years at the beginning of each year, was suspended due to banditry and other criminal activities in the region.
