The Governor of Ebonyi State, and Chairman of the South East Governors’ Forum, Dave Umahi has condemned in strong terms the recent series of armed attacks on security formations in parts of the region.

Umahi who briefed Journalists at the end of the State’s expanded security council meeting in Abakaliki, said the killings of security agents and burning of their facilities portend serious danger to the people of the zone.
The Governor wants the leaders of the zone to speak up against the ugly trend, insisting that the attacks are being orchestrated by bandits and criminals from the zone.
Dave Umahi, also wants the security operatives, especially the Police to be more proactive to forestall further attacks.
