Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma has debunked the rumours making the rounds that he plans to probe his predecessors in office.
Governor Uzodinma disclosed this while briefing journalists after inspecting some structures at the Government House Owerri.
The Governor explained that he only directed the Accountant-General of the State and top officials of the civil service to furnish him with the financial statements of the State.

He says the directive should not be misconstrued as probe.
Governor Uzodinma says there has not been a proper handover from the immediate past administration so he has to request for practically everything.
He however added that should there be need to invite erstwhile public officers to explain certain issues of public concern, his government would not hesitate to do so.
On the state of structures at the Government House, he gave the assurance that renovation work would commence as soon as possible to enable business of governance kick start in earnest.
