The calls to save and protect Nigerian girls intensified as global human rights watch, Amnesty International presents report of abuses and neglect of young women who escaped from Boko Haram captivity.
During the presentation in Abuja, Amnesty International based its findings on interviews conducted with the affected girls.
The report says the survivors faced abuses and neglect after escaping abduction and sexual slavery in the camps of Boko Haram.
Amnesty International based its report on one-on-one interviews with 126 persons including 82 survivors in the North-East between 2019 and 2024.

The human rights group is calling on the Federal Government, UN agencies and donors to urgently come to the aid of the young women.
Amnesty International says the 17-page report was sent to the relevant authorities including the military, Ministry of Justice, Federal, Borno and Adamawa State Governments without positive action except for the military.
