A Group under the auspices of Global Society for Middle-Belt Heritage Have raised an alarm over the resurgence of Attacks and Killings on the Plateau, which they said have affected the education of children in the affected areas.
While Addressing Newsmen in Jos, the Group said the Recent attacks in some Plateau Communities have claimed over 250 lives and rendered over 30 thousand People homeless while calling for the prosecution of suspects arrested with firearms during the attaks.
Insecurity has continued to thrive on the Plateau, without lasting solutions, sadly, it has led to loss of lives, property and displaced thousands of people. No doubt this is the reason for the call on the Federal Government to act by ending the killings, and bring the perpetrators to book.

According to the group, over 39 villages were recently attacked simultaneously allegedly by herders
in Mangu Council area which left 267 persons dead with a call on government to come to the aid of the over 30,000 persons who were displaced from their ancestral lands.
The Middle Belt group frown at how the crisis has affected the education of Students in the affected areas and also called for the prosecution of those arrested with firearms during the attacks.
They call on the State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, and National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, to come to the aid of displaced Persons Immediately with relief Interventions to alleviate their present predicaments.
