The coalition of 18 associations under the aegis of Arewa Lives Matter says it is determined to occupy the House of Assemblies in the 19 Northern states until the government takes positive action towards ending insecurity in the northern region.
The keader of the group,Bilai Adamu , said they decided to occupied the Kaduna state house of assembly following inaction by government to protect lives and property in the face of insecurity in Northern Nigeria.
The group want the government of the 19 northern states to address the insecurity that is ravaging the region.
The group had occupied the entrance to the kaduna state house of assembly as early as 7.30am expectating the house to hold plenary after failing to do so in two weeks.
Ait.live garthered that the protesters had men of the Nigerian Police to contend with when they tried to enter the premises of the Assembly complex.
According to the leader of the group, Bilal Adamu, the struggle will continue until they get a positive response ,since government has decided to pay lip service to security issues rocking the Northern part of the country.
