The two different groups of protesters first converged on the popular oba Ovoranmwen square before going their separate ways.

The groups have one goal in common which is seeking for a better Nigeria, reducing
the high cost of living occasioned by the increase in the price of petrol, following the removal of subsidy.

One of the civil society groups which took their protest to the ever busy Lagos street received solidarity from the traders.
They kicked against what they described as High cost of governance, making reference to the proposed one hundred and ten billion Naira earmarked for the federal legislators for the purchase of bullet proof cars.

As the hardship caused by the increase in the price of petrol continues to bite harder, the protesters urged those at the helm of affairs to sympathise with the common man on the streets.

It is the hope of the protesters that the Federal Government will listen to their cries and come up with policies that will help ameliorate the sufferings of the majority of its citizens
