Yet to be identified gunmen have abducted a former chairman of the Nigerian Union of journalists, NUJ, Bayelsa Chapel, Comrade Julius Osahon, and 17 other passengers, along the East-west Road, In Ughelli-north Local Government Area of Delta State, at the late evening of Monday, March 28.
The passengers were abducted on their way to Warri.
AIT gathered that the driver of the vehicle was shot dead by the gunmen.
At the time of this report, the gunmen had already contacted the wife of the former NUJ Chairman, demanding a 5million Naira ransom.
The Delta State Police Command is yet to react to the development.
