Gunmen abduct an unspecified number of people in Chiri community, in Shiroro LGA of Niger State.
The persons were abducted in a night attack, launched by the gunmen on motorcycles.
According to a source, the people fled in large number for safety in nearby bushes and villages. Many people were said to have sustained injuries.
The bandits also rustled cattle in large numbers and destroyed properties during the attack
The Police Public Relations Officer in Niger State Command, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, could not be reached for comments on the development.
