Unknown gunmen have attacked the Udung Uko Divisional Police Headquarters in Akwa Ibom State in an overnight attack.
According to the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Odiko MacDon the assailants came in a Toyota Sienna vehicle and opened fire at the station.
Odiko further said that no life was lost as the gallant policemen on duty repelled the attack.
A source however said three policemen sustained gunshot wounds in the attack and are receiving treatment in a hospital.
