Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted one student of the Arthur Jarvis University.in Akpabuyo local government area of Cross River State.
Multiple sources confirmed to ait.live that the students were retuning from their night reading class before gunmen accosted and abducted one while others who ran for their life sustained various degrees of injuries.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer,Irene Ugbo, said the Commissioner of Police, Aminu Alhassan has drafted the anti kidnapping,Anti Cultism and the dragon Units of the police to forestall breakdown of law and order and secure the release of the kidnapped victim.
She said that the gunmen attacked the university at about 9:30 pm on Tuesday and whisked the student to an undisclosed location inside the forest
Akpabuyo Local Government Area where the school is located is about twenty Kilometres away and 20 minutes drive from the Calabar city centre.
