Families and relatives of the six persons killed in the Waasimi community in Osun state are still in the mourning mood following the ugly incident that occurred on Sunday night.
A relative of one of the deceased victims told ait. live that the gunmen arrived on two motorcycles and called out his father, mother, stepmother, and three of their grandchildren from their rooms and shot them while he ran into the bush.

The State Deputy Governor visited the scene of the incident accompanied by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, Abiodun Ige.
He described the incident as unfortunate and assured that the government will get to the root of the matter.
The remains of the victims have been deposited at the mortuary while the only survivor of the gun shot attack is receiving treatment at the hospital.
