The national publicity secretary of the association of community pharmacist of Nigerian Sunday Ike has been killed by unknown gunmen in Gwarinpa District of Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The information was contained in the statement signed by the national chairman of the association, Samuel Adekola.
The statement says Pharmacist Ike was murdered at his Suncell pharmacy in Gwarinpa. The motive behind the killing is not yet clear and the identity of the killers is unknown.
The association has therefore raised alarm on the safety of community pharmacists in Nigeria, calling for the urgent intervention of the Nigerian government and well-meaning Nigerians.

All community pharmacists are to close their premises from 7pm on Saturday as they mourn the loss of their colleague.
