The much talked about mega rally in Bayelsa State meant to honour President Bola Tinubu, FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike and others was targeted with gunshots from nearby bush adjacent the venue at Igboghene, on outskirts of Yenagoa town.
Many people on hearing repeated gunshots ran in different directions which led to a stampede in the midst of the confusion.

As at the time of filing this report, organisers of the MN eggs rally had started calling on the media to return to the venue saying the situation was calm and under control.
