Muslims all over the country have been called upon to rededicate their lives to Almighty Allah and shun banditry, kidnapping and cattle rustling.

An Islamic Cleric, Aminu Aliyu, who made this known, said it is towards ensuring that peace returns to Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria, and the country at large.

They are also urged to promote peaceful coexistence with their neighbours during the period of the Ramadan and beyond.

Aminu Aliyu, made the call in an interview with ait.live in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital.

He was speaking about the significance of the Ramadan and preparation to enter the remaining ten days, and how Muslims are expected to conduct themselves.

The Islamic leader, Aminu Aliyu, emphasised the need for Muslims to refrain from acts that are capable of breaching peace, order and stability in Nigeria, as they observe the Ramadan

He notes that the Ramadan period calls for sober reflection, self-sacrifice, kindness and generosity, especially to the needy, and vulnerable members of the Society.

The Gusau-based Islamic cleric, Aminu Aliyu, explained that the remaining ten days of the Ramadan are crucial, because they provide opportunities for Muslims to intensify their prayers, seek forgiveness and reconciliation, as they observe the Tahajjud prayer at night, and bring themselves closer to Allah.
