One person has been confirmed dead and four others are reported missing in the flood that ravaged some communities in Giri in Gwagwalada area council of the federal capital territory Abuja.
The flood which was as a result of heavy down pour on Monday morning also washed away farmlands, houses and property worth millions of naira.
The community which is few kilometres away from the headquarters of the Gwagwalada area council had suffered similar damage in the past.
Meanwhile, the search and rescue team from the FCT emergency management agency are currently searching for the bodies of a mother and three of her children reported to have been washed away by the flood.
