Shops and Property worth Millions of naira were destroyed,while some persons are alleged to have sustained injuries in the early hours of Wednesday when Fulani and Hausa settlers engaged in a bloody clash at the popular Ogbese Market in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The clash which reportedly started Tuesday evening and snowballed into a full blown crisis by Wednesday morning, led to the burning down of several shops at the market.
When ait.live visited the scene of the incident,over ten shops and other valuables have been burnt to ashes as some of the affected traders counted their losses.
Some Residents and affected shop owners alleged that the clash may not be unconnected to the invasion of farmland belonging to some Hausa Communities by suspected herdsmen.

Meanwhile,Reacting to the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer,Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, confirmed that investigations have commenced into the matter.
As at the time of Filling in this report,calmness have been restored to the market while heavy presence of security operatives was noticed.
