Residents of Kano are battling a severe hazy and cold harmattan weather that has forced many to remain indoors.
The last time Kano witnessed hazy weather was in December 2019. Many residents are at home since the state government has directed civil servants to stay at home because of rising cases of covid19. Those with businesses to attend to outside use protective clothing against the cold weather.
There is poor visibility on the roads as motorists and other road users drive with caution.

While many residents will resort to taking hot beverages to keep themselves warm, facemasks become handy for motorcyclists not necessarily in compliance with prevention protocols against Covid-19 but to fight the dusty weather.
