Federal health facilities are set to be grounded as the Joint Health Sector Unions, JOHESU directs its members to begin an indefinite nationwide strike from midnight of Friday, November 14, over 12-year demand for adjustment on the Consolidated Health Salary Structure, CONHESS.
At a briefing in Abuja on Friday, JOHESU National Chairman, Ado Kabiru also directed workers in state health institutions to be on standby for 15-day strike notice.

Kabiru also dismissed claims by the Federal Government that it engaged its members in the last 48 hours in a bid to avert the industrial action.
The strike called by JOHESU will affect services in laboratories, medical records, administration, account departments, mortuaries and pharmacies among others.
