Fifty-five-year-old United States-born actor-comedian, Eric Marlon Bishop, known professionally as Jamie Foxx, has broken the silence for the first time, after being hospitalised earlier in April for an undisclosed medical complication.

In a 3-minute 30-second video, the “God Is A Bullet” actor, took to his Instagram account, “iamjamiefoxx,” to thank everyone who stood by him while he was in the hospital, saying he never imagined going through such a challenging time.

The “Collateral, Law Abiding Citizen” movie star, said his sister and daughter gave him the necessary support, to see him bounce back hale and hearty.

His words: “To them, to God, and a lot of great medical people, I’m able to leave you this video. I cannot tell you how great it feels to have your family kick in, in such a way, and y’all know they kept it airtight; they didn’t let anything out; they protected me, and that’s what I hope that everyone could have in moments like these.”

Jamie Foxx, however, did not mince words to shut down hearsay on social media, that claimed his illness had led to paralysis and blindness.

In his words: “As you can see, the eyes are working just fine. I’m not paralysed, but… I went to hell and back, and my road to recovery had some potholes as well. But I’m coming back, and I’m able to work.”
