Members of the ad hoc committee in the House of Representatives on the Relocation of Tank Farms, Petrol, and LPG Stations Compliance, have frowned at the activities of the fuel Marketers in Gombe State, over the sales and distributions of petrol in the state.
The committee said it would compile a report to the House of Representatives, for a law to be enacted, to ensure that fuel marketers comply with the basic practices, in the sale and distribution of petrol in the country.
Petrol stations in Gombe metropolis, were amongst the places visited as members sought to investigate the activities of fuel marketers as well as the safety of their petrol stations.

At an interaction with the fuel marketers, the committee expressed displeasure with their activities and promised to act over it.
The committee had earlier paid a courtesy visit to the state Governor Muhammad Yahaya, where they explained their mission.
The Governor had also called for strong institutions that will ensure compliance with laid down procedures.
The committee says it would continue with its monitoring of fuel stations in the country to ensure proper safety standard.
