The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in Osun State on Wednesday commenced the distribution of sensitive materials received from the Central Bank in Osogbo, to various local government areas of the State.
The State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Mutiu Agboke supervised the distribution witnessed by representatives of various political parties participating in the election.
Addressing journalists, Dr Agboke said the sensitive materials which include ballot papers and result sheets were customised in batches for easy and quick deployment to various local government areas of the State.
He expressed readiness of the commission and other various stakeholders to ensure a seemless conduct of the election.
The REC assured that lapses noticed during the presidential and the national assembly election have been taken care of.
ICPC Resident Commissioner in Osun State, the state Director of NOA and the representative of the State Commissioner Police are among major stakeholders that witnessed the distribution of the sensitive materials.
They expressed their readiness in ensuring the credibility of the Saturday election.
Osun state will be participating in only the house of assembly election as the state had conducted it’s governorship election in July 2022.
