A Sixteen-year-old boy has been said to have been found in his pool of blood with his two eyes removed by a suspect, alleged to have lured him to the farm for a menial job.
A press statement by the Police spokesman in Bauchi, Ahmed Wakil, said that at about 1800hrs, a distress call was received from the Village Head of Birshi, Mohammed Lawal.
A team of policemen led by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO Yelwa, moved to the scene of the crime and found a boy of 16 years in his pool of blood, with his eyes removed.
The victim was immediately taken to the Abubakar Tafawabalewa University Teaching Hospital for treatment.
Police said a preliminary investigation has revealed that the victim’s name is Uzairu Salisu, of Kwanan Gulmammu Jahun Quarters.
According to the statement, the victim alleged that one Ibrahim of Rafin Zurfi lured him to his farm for a job, and used a cable to strangle him and removed his eyes.
The Police said as the investigation unfolds, the public will be updated.
