This is according to the minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari who was speaking during the Ministerial Sectoral Retreat in Abuja.
While leveraging technology, Innovation and climate -smart agriculture to boost productivity and resilience, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari says the Ministry is working with several international partners to secure funding and expertise to support the nation’s agricultural initiatives.
To achieve viable research systems through active coordination between relevant institutions, the ministry says it’s accelerating the integration of rural development for market access linkages.
With the theme ‘’Performance Improvement and Strategic Alignment” the event intensifies the push to reposition agriculture as a major driver of economic growth, job creation and investment, with a new policy focus on mechanization, value-chain development, agribusiness financing and market expansion, among others.
