Nigeria’s First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed her readiness to ensure that women and other vulnerable groups in society have better and easier access to modern systems of education and skills across the federation.
Remi Tinubu made this known during the official inauguration of Community Information Communication Technology, ICT Centre, and the Alternative High School for Girls in Bauchi State, North East Nigeria.
It is said to be her first official visit to Bauchi State, since the inauguration of President Bola Tinubu’s administration in 2023.
The Nigerian first lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, said she is in the state to officially inaugurate some projects, which include a community ICT centre and an alternative high school for girls, as part of her programme tagged, Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, aimed at empowering women with modern knowledge and skills, to better their lives.
Speaking at the inauguration of the two facilities, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed and the state’s First Lady Aisha Bala Mohammed, thanked and appreciated the Nigerian First Lady for choosing Bauchi State, to start the launch of the programme, among the six geopolitical zones of the country.
Bala Mohammed said the projects would help in giving women, children and other vulnerable groups in society, the opportunity to actualize their objectives.
The Nigerian First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, had earlier paid homage to the Emir of Bauchi, Rilwanu Sulaiman, to receive royal blessing, and to reiterate her love, care, and support for a better Nigeria.
