Human Rights Group, Speakout Africa and others Civil Society Organisation have asked President Bola Tinubu to set a monthly keeping performance index, KPI for the new ministers.
The groups made the request at a media briefing in Abuja 48 hours after the swearing-in of the new ministers.
The activists told the president to roll out templates showing a cut down of governance expenses due to the current realities particularly the planned stoppage of pension benefits of former governors who are currently in Tinubu’s cabinet.

The groups appealed to the President to appoint a person who can better bring fresh perspectives, represent the interests, aspirations and understand the needs and challenges of the youths when appointing another minister.
They also discredited the very manner, mode and process the federal government disbursed the sum of 5bn to states including FCT as palliative to cushion the effect of subsidy removal and asked the National Assembly to enact a law that will back up the presidential action.
