Edo State Government has brought back home 20-year-old Iwinosa Okunrobo, who was trafficked to Burkina Faso five years ago under the false promise of a better life.
Upon arrival in the West African country, Iwinosa was forced into prostitution.
Receiving the returnee at the Festival Hall of the Government House in Benin City, Governor Monday Okpebholo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to combatting human trafficking and irregular migration, emphasizing strict enforcement of relevant laws.
Iwinosa Okunrobo was just 15 years old when she was taken to Burkina Faso.
