Bauchi State Police Command Says it has apprehended a suspect who killed his wife over handling of Ramadan food ingredients.
According to the statement issued by Bauchi State Police Command spokesperson Ahmed Wakili, the Command was alerted for an alleged culpable homicide incident, following misunderstanding between One Nura Isah 50 years of age, with his second wife Wasila Abdullahi, Aged 24 years due to handling food ingredients for breaking Ramadan fast, which escalated into a violent confrontation.
According to Police, preliminary investigations indicated that, the suspect Nuhu Isah (Husband) stroke his wife with Cane which resulted in her collapsing and becoming unconscious.
She was later rushed to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital where she was confirmed dead by medical personnel.

According to Wakili, Police has initiated a thorough investigation into the incident and apprehended the suspect.
The Police said the cane purportedly used in the assault has been recovered as Exhibit and placed with the deceased in the mortuary pending autopsy procedures.
