Shortly after inspecting the airport, Chairman Senate Committee on Aviation, Smart Adeyemi speaking on behalf of other members, renewed previous calls for the upgrade of the Ibadan airport.

Earlier, the Committee was at the office of the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde who urged the Federal Government to take necessary steps to upgrade the standard of Ibadan Airport

Also speaking, Chairman House Committee on Aviation, Nnolim Nnaji, said upgrading the airport will serve as alternative to road transportation due to challenges of insecurity.
