Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has met with property owners along the Ibadan Circular road corridor and assured them there would be no further demolition or marking of properties outside the 150 meters set back for the ongoing road project and its corridor.

Residents whose properties were affected by the ongoing Ibadan Circular Road project and its corridor were at the State Government Secretariat, Ibadan to express their grievances, saying they don’t want the corridor.

After a 4-day protest, the protesters were addressed by Gov Seyi Makinda who commended the protesters for conducting themselves and not allowing the protest to degenerate into violence which could have caused a breach of public peace.

The protesters told the Governor that they are demanding for the outright cancellation of the Ibadan Circular road corridor project, citing the 500 meter Set back by government with consequential effect of demolition and notices on properties.
