Following early Tuesday’s attack on the environs of the Abagena Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, camp in Makurdi, Benue State, which claimed seven lives and left several other persons severely injured, some displaced persons have fled the camp for fear of another attack.
However, others who were seen returning, have called on the Federal government to provide adequate security to repel future attacks.

The Tuesday’s attack had steered up grave emotions, as panic became the critical word amongst the thousands of internally displaced persons, whose security is threatened as they claimed to have been displaced from their ancestral home about 3 years ago.
