The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has deployed additional armoured vehicles and Special Intervention Squad, to Kebbi State to consolidate on the successes recorded in surmounting security challenges
The vehicles and personnel were showcased to Governor Nasir Idris at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, by the Kebbi Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Sani
In his words “The IGP deemed it necessary to encourage your efforts in surmounting the security challenges in the state by supplying more armoured vehicles and other operational vehicles to augment successes recorded”,
Inspecting the vehicles, Governor Nasir Idris, expressed appreciation to the IGP, acknowledging that the vehicles can be instantly deployed to flashpoints in Kebbi
He noted that that the deployment of armoured vehicles is a clear implementation of the order of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the IGP
