The Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu has reassured Nigerians of the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to intensify efforts in crime prevention and maintaining law and order across the country.
Disu gave the assurance during an operational visit to Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, in response to the prevailing security situation in the state.
He reminded journalists that he previously led the police component of the clearance operation carried out in the state, noting that he is fully familiar with the security challenges in the area.
The Inspector General of Police explained that the visit was also aimed at boosting the morale of officers and men of the command while assessing ongoing security operations.
He further expressed appreciation to the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the continued support provided to the police in strengthening security efforts across the state.
Kwara State is the first state the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu has visited since assuming office as the nation’s top police officer as he encouraged personnel to redouble their efforts in safeguarding lives and property.
