The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun has praised the professionalism and dedication of Olumuyiwa Adejobi, following his elevation to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police and redeployment as DCP Operations, Delta State Command.
Adejobi, who rose through the ranks from Chief Superintendent in the Force PRO office to his recent role as Force Public Relations Officer, was decorated with his new rank after approval by the Police Service Commission.
IGP Egbetokun described him as an exemplary officer whose resilience, integrity, and service record have advanced the image and effectiveness of the Force.

Police authorities dismissed media speculations about his removal, clarifying that the posting is a routine progression and a strategic deployment to one of the country’s most sensitive commands.
Observers say Adejobi’s wealth of experience in public communication, community policing, and operational management makes him well suited for the security dynamics of Delta State and the wider Niger Delta region.
