The Acting Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, says the force is embarking on the establishment of a special intervention squad to curb criminal activities along the major highways in the country, with particular reference to the Abuja and Kaduna road networks.
Egbetokun, who made this known during his maiden visit to the Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday, also launched the Police Complaint Response Unit, charging officers in the state to shun extortion and demonstrate transparency, integrity, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
