The Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba Alkali and the Governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki have reiterated their commitment in ensuring that modern policing is established through the provision of state of the art facilities and equipment aimed at enhancing professionalism in the Nigerian Police Force.

They made this known at the commisioning of several renovated and newly constructed projects undertaken by the State Government and the Police Force in Ekiadolor and Benin City.

The commissioning and tour of the various projects by the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba Alkali began at the new Model Police Headquarters in Ekiadolor, Ovia North East Local Government Area.

IGP Usman Alkali says the ultramodern Headquarters in the locality will serve as a moral booster and aid in combating crime.
