The Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Usman Baba, has tasked his officers and men, to take the war to the doorsteps of the unknown gunmen who are killing security operatives and attacking police formations.
The IGP gave the charge in Port Harcourt during the flag-off of Operation Restore Peace in the South-South region.

Usman Baba however warned the officers and men to respect the rights of the citizens.
Speaking on behalf of the Rivers state governor Nyesom Wike, his deputy Ipalibo Harry, assured the police boss of government continued support, to flush out criminals from the state.
The event which took place at the Sharks Football Stadium drew dignitaries from different parts of the south-south region who witnessed a special display of the Nigeria Police Armoury.
