The Governor of Abia State, South East Nigeria, Okezie Ikpeazu has congratulated five 2021 NYSC Presidential Awardees who are graduates of Abia State University, Uturu for making the institution and the state proud.
The Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State government, Chris Ezem stated this when he formally received the awardees in Umuahia.
He commended the University for their commitment towards producing the best and expressed joy that out of the one hundred and one presidential awardees, five graduates from the state owned University emerged, adding that such feat should be sustained.

The Governor urged them to utilize the opportunity given to them by the Federal government to improve themselves.
Responding on behalf of other awardees, Anyaogu Onyinyechi expressed appreciation to the state government for providing an enabling environment for the institution to thrive and the University for impacting the right skills in them.
She assured that they will remain good ambassadors of the school and state.
