The Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC for the smooth function of the Bimodal Voters Accreditation system which he describes as a tremendous improvement in the exercise.
Governor Ikpeazu, who is also the PDP Senatorial Candidate for Abia South Senatorial Zone while speaking shortly after voting around 11am in Umuebere ward 7,unit 032, expressed displeasure over the late commencement of voting in the state.

Ikpeazu who expressed happiness on the large turnout of voters appealed to INEC to extend the voting time given the late commencement of voting in so many areas.
