Ilaji Tournament : Ten-Man Katsina Team Beats Ondo As Scouts Celebrate Talents

The Ondo U-16 boys team recorded another woeful outing on Wednesday at the ongoing Ilaji National football tournament.in Ibadan, Oyo state.


The team that suffered an embarrassing 7-0 defeat to the host, Ilaji boys on Tuesday, recorded another 5-0 defeat to 10-man Katsina team

Despite the overwhelming support from the fans, the Akeredolu boys could not help themselves.

Earlier it was a sweet victory for the Ekiti team. They ran away with a 1-0 win over the Sanusi boys of Ilaji in a thrilling encounter.

Unfortunately Lagos U-16 team could not recover from fatigue as they lost 1-3 to Oyo.The Makinde boys who gave a good account of themselves, were technically superior and made the much needed difference

Kebbi team also had a bad day losing 0-1 to Osun, despite playing their heart out they could not tell a positive story

Later in the day, Oyo achieved a double. After beating Lagos 3-1, they again smiled home with a 2-1 victory over their Kwara State counterparts

Not minding the mixed fortunes of match day 2, the scouts are happy with their observations.

As some of the participating teams savour the sweet taste of victory.the unfortunate ones are preparing for Thursday’s fixtures. Kebbi will confront Kaduna in all northern affairs at 9.00am, Ilaji U-16 boys will face Katsina.at 10.00am Ogun will play the Sanusi boys at 1.00pm.

while Kwara and Lagos will do battle at 12.00 noon. Kaduna and Osun will round off the day’s proceedings.

With the anxiety getting stronger all the teams are counting their gains as some players are already getting the desired attention in their bid for a glorious and enduring professional football career.
