Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara says he will never kneel before anybody in order to governor the state; even if that was the purpose for which he was made governor.

Instead, the Governor says he would continue to stand on the side of righteousness and work to take the state to greater heights.
Speaking during a visit to former Governor Celestine Omehia to condole with his bereaved family over the death of their mother, Governor Fubara further called on the people, particularly the political class to refrain from the politics of bitterness and unite to build a better and prosperous Rivers State.
Governor Fubara was in the country home of one of his predecessors in Ubima community in Ikwerre local government area. He took advantage of the the large presence of political leaders at the funeral to pass the message to them.
On his part, Celestine Omehia says he is optimistic that Governor Fubara will deliver the change Rivers State people are yearning for. He also pledged total support for Governor Fubara.
