The Nigeria Immigration Service has received 13 returnees, who are technicians that went to install industrial machines in Togo.
In a statement signed by the Service Public Relations Officer, James Sunday, the 13 returnees have been handed over to officials of the Lagos State Ministry of Health for Coronavirus test and isolation in line with NCDC directives on medical procedures for new arrivals into the country to curtail the spread of the pandemic.
James also noted that Seme-Krake is a major entry and exit point into the country on the border with Benin Republic, and the Nigeria Immigration Service is not taking chances in enforcing strict border patrol along to apprehend anyone that will want to circumvent the approved routes. He confirmed that the Service has recorded high numbers of persons turning up at the Seme-Krake border post since the border closure.

The Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service Muhammad Babandede has also advised returnees to avoid following bush paths trying to avoid arrest amid the painful experience of suffering in the hands of criminal elements in an effort to follow unrecognized routes that pose risks to their lives.
