Imo Gov. Uzodimma inaugurates 17-man judicial panel on #EndSARS

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has inaugurated a 17-man Judicial Panel of Inquiry to probe the alleged police brutality and related extra judicial killings in the State.

At the ceremony, Governor Uzodimma assured that the grievances of the protesters across the country will be addressed.

According to the Governor, the inauguration of the panel was a Presidential directive and resolution of the Nigerian Governors Forum.

He said that, All the 36 States are expected to take steps to implement the demands of the EndSARS protesters.

The Governor, also advised the panel, to create a friendly atmosphere that will allow the public to come forward and present their grievances.

Governor Uzodimma seized the opportunity to appeal to protesters to take their grievances to the panel, and not allow the hoodlums to capitalize on the peaceful protest, to perpetrate criminal activities.

Responding on behalf of her members, the Chairman of the Judicial Panel of Inquiry, Justice Florence Duruoha-Igwe promised to be transparent in the discharge of their duties.
