The Imo State Government, has appealed to oil Marketers in the State, to call off their industrial action to reduce the hardship inflicted on the public.

Commissioner for information, Declan Emelumba, who made the appeal told newsmen in Owerri ,that the Industrial action was Illegal.

For the past three days, it’s been tough for Imo residents, following the strike action embarked upon by the Association of Oil Marketers, over the refusal of Government to obey court ruling, in favor of it’s member, whose property was demolished by the past administration.

Declan Emelumba said that the action of the Oil Marketers was illegal, justifying his position on the fact that, government had since appealed the the judgement of the lower Court.
