Christians have been urged to demonstrate the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ and eschew corruption in their relationship with one another for the peace, unity, and development of the nation.
The Archbishop of Owerri Catholic Archdiocese, Lucius Ugorji, made the call during the Palm Sunday service held at Assumpta Cathedral Owerri
He said Palm Sunday, which commemorates the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, symbolizes humility, sacrifice, and selfless love for humanity.
He emphasized that true Christianity goes beyond a mere celebration, noting that only through total rededication to the service of God and humanity can individuals contribute meaningfully to societal growth.
