A fire outbreak at the residence of the FCT Minister of State, Mariya Mahmood has been brought under control by fire fighters in Abuja
The incident was said to have occured at about 10 am on Sunday in the Asokoro residence of Nigeria’s Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, where the impact of the fire was said to have caused serious damage on the 7-bedroom apartment.
According to eyewitness account, all household items including important documents and jewelries were destroyed.
Preliminary investigation by the FCT fire service indicates that the fire was triggered by an eletrical fault in the building adding that no live was lost in the incident.
